Dan Skuta: Former San Francisco 49ers and Jacksonville Jaguars Player


From 2013 to 2014, Dan Skuta played on the San Francisco 49ers defense. In 2015, he signed a multi-year, multimillion-dollar deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars. 


He played two years of that contract with the Jaguars before signing with the Chicago Bears in 2017. 


Now, Skuta focuses on his many business interests – including his 700-acre Texas ranch.

Daniel Skuta of the Bengals - Volunteering and Donating


Daniel Skuta is a business investor and entrepreneur who has diverse professional holdings across the United States. Earlier in his career, though, he was a pro footballer who started in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals.

After nine seasons, he suffered a severe injury that prematurely ended his time as a professional athlete. Mr. Skuta underwent hip replacement surgery and shifted his focus.

Dan Skuta - Background and Career Info

Dan Skuta has been a stand-out athlete for much of his life, a talent that eventually culminated in a successful nine-season career in the National Football League.


An NFL player from 2009-2017—and two-year Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker (2015-2016)—Dan Skuta enjoyed the opportunity to play at the highest level of his sport, as well as alongside many of the most notable names in the game over the last decade.

Background and Career

Dan Skuta spent his early childhood in Burton, Michigan before relocating to the community of Flynt just before high school. He played football at and graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School before signing on to play college ball at Grand Valley State University.



Skuta completed his career at GVSU in 2009, and shortly thereafter signed on with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent. His NFL career included stints with the Bengals, 49ers, Jaguars and Bears before his retirement in 2017.

Dan Skuta played with four teams during his NFL tenure, including the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears.


All told, Skuta enjoyed nine seasons in the pros—a career marked by multi-year, multimillion-dollar deals, highlight-grabbing plays and an unrelenting commitment to hard work, intensity and winning both on and off the field.

Former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Dan Skuta played two years with the squad—a brief tenure that began with the signing of a five-year, $20 million contract in 2015. Skuta earned this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity following success with such teams as Cincinnati and San Francisco, where his play never failed to inspire teammates and captivate the home field crowd.
