Dan Skuta has been a stand-out athlete for much of his life,
a talent that eventually culminated in a successful nine-season career in the
National Football League.
An NFL player from 2009-2017—and two-year Jacksonville
Jaguars linebacker (2015-2016)—Dan Skuta enjoyed the opportunity to play at the
highest level of his sport, as well as alongside many of the most notable names
in the game over the last decade.
Background
and Career
Dan Skuta spent his early childhood in Burton, Michigan before
relocating to the community of Flynt just before high school. He played
football at and graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School before signing on
to play college ball at Grand Valley State University.
Skuta completed his career at GVSU in 2009, and shortly thereafter signed on with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent. His NFL career included stints with the Bengals, 49ers, Jaguars and Bears before his retirement in 2017.
