Dan Skuta - Background and Career Info

Dan Skuta has been a stand-out athlete for much of his life, a talent that eventually culminated in a successful nine-season career in the National Football League.


An NFL player from 2009-2017—and two-year Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker (2015-2016)—Dan Skuta enjoyed the opportunity to play at the highest level of his sport, as well as alongside many of the most notable names in the game over the last decade.

Background and Career

Dan Skuta spent his early childhood in Burton, Michigan before relocating to the community of Flynt just before high school. He played football at and graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School before signing on to play college ball at Grand Valley State University.



Skuta completed his career at GVSU in 2009, and shortly thereafter signed on with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent. His NFL career included stints with the Bengals, 49ers, Jaguars and Bears before his retirement in 2017.

Dan Skuta enjoyed a nine-season career in professional football, including four years with the Bengals and two apiece with the San Francisco 49ers and Jacksonville Jaguars, respectively.


But in 2017, Skuta retired from the game, and began a new career in the field of business investment. This new career path has not only proven quite lucrative for Skuta, but has also presented an abundance of opportunity to explore other activities in more depth, including:

Dan Skuta played with four teams during his NFL tenure, including the Cincinnati Bengals, San Francisco 49ers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears.


All told, Skuta enjoyed nine seasons in the pros—a career marked by multi-year, multimillion-dollar deals, highlight-grabbing plays and an unrelenting commitment to hard work, intensity and winning both on and off the field.

2015-2016 Seasons with Jacksonville

Former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Dan Skuta played two years with the squad—a brief tenure that began with the signing of a five-year, $20 million contract in 2015. Skuta earned this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity following success with such teams as Cincinnati and San Francisco, where his play never failed to inspire teammates and captivate the home field crowd.




Skuta retired from the League in 2017 following a serious hip injury. He has since maintained a leadership role with such brands as Sacksonville and Sack Francisco.
