Former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Daniel Skuta doesn’t miss
many chances to go four-wheeling. An ATV enthusiast fond of hitting the trail
and navigating through challenging terrain, Skuta is always ready to hop aboard
his four-wheeler and find out what the next riding opportunity has to offer.
But as a seasoned ATV’er, Dan Skuta knows that no ride should
take off without knowing the rules of the road – those basic principles of ATV
safety that will help keep you and your quad in one piece throughout your
journey.
Basic tips for ATV safety include:
- Wearing your safety gear. No ride is safe without the helmet, gloves, boots and goggles you need to protect your body should you fall off or flip over.
- Riding with a partner. It may go without saying, but it’s never a good idea to ride alone. Finding a riding buddy can save your hind-end should you have an emergency.
